Many people all across the world face the hard water issue. In order to make the hard water apt for using, water softener is an ideal equipment. The reasons why hard water needs to be treated are high concentration of minerals in water, which slowly builds up scale in plumbing fixtures, kettle, water heater, dish washer, washing machine, etc. Before considering buying a water softener and conditioner, identify the hardness level of water, need for soft water, water's sodium content, etc.

Role of Water Softener & Conditioner:

1) Water softener exchanges ions, i.e., swap the magnesium and calcium ions with sodium ions; while washing brine or salt water over the media. A very little sodium is added to the drinking water.

2) Water conditioner works to change the molecular properties of magnesium and calcium. Water is passed through a kind of magnetic field, causing minerals to precipitate out of solution in a physical state of suspension called as aragonite.
